RESIDENT, for the purposes of field or recreation program usage, shall be understood as any permanent resident and or taxpayer of the Town of Fairfield.
The scheduled use of Town of Fairfield fields will be made available to the organizations listed below according to the regulations listed, with priority granted in the following order, as long as space is available.
The use of Town Facilities for private enterprise is prohibited without express consent from the Parks & Recreation Commission or their designee; all approved requests are subject to permit fees, indemnification and insurance requirements.
The scheduled use of Town of Fairfield fields will be made available to the organizations listed below according to the regulations listed, with priority granted in the following order, as long as space is available.
- Fairfield Parks and Recreation Department sponsored activities.
- Fairfield Public School sponsored activities.
- Permanent Resident youth and adult leagues and activities that consist of all Fairfield residents.
- General Resident youth and adult leagues and activities that consist of all Fairfield residents.
- Any other youth and adult leagues and activities at the discretion of the Parks & Recreation Commission or their designee.

100% of the players must be Fairfield residents and the team/organization must first be approved by the Park and Recreation Commission. Once approved, an Official League Roster, a signed copy of the Town of Fairfield’s Hold Harmless Agreement and a Certificate of Insurance with limits of $1,000,000 per accident and $2,000,000 aggregate with the Town of Fairfield being named as additional insured must be provided to the Recreation Department in order to receive a Season Blanket Permit.
Organizations and businesses wishing to reserve field and park space can do so for a rental fee of $100.00 per hour per field or the Tomlinson Turf Field for $150.00 per hour. A 50% Non-Refundable Deposit is due at the time booking with the remainder being due two (2) weeks prior to program start along with a signed copy of the Town of Fairfield’s Hold Harmless Agreement and a Certificate of Insurance with limits of $1,000,000 per accident and $2,000,000 aggregate with the Town of Fairfield being named as additional insured.
Fairfield Residents are able to make up to two (2) reservations, twice (2x) a week, for a maximum of two (2) hours each, up to 2 weeks in advance. Reservations may be made by calling 203-256-3191 or in person at the Parks & Rec Department. There is no fee for making a reservation; proof of insurance and/or Hold Harmless Agreement is not required.
