Fairfield Youth Services works to promote the health, safety, and positive development of Fairfield’s children, youth, and families. We work to ensure Fairfield’s young people can access the support they need to thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally.
We do this by coordinating community resources, partnering with schools and local providers, offering prevention and early-intervention programs, and supporting families as they navigate challenges. Youth Services is grounded in the principles of positive youth development, collaboration, and prevention, with a focus on meeting youth where they are and responding to emerging needs in our community.

What is a Youth Service Bureau?

A Youth Service Bureau (YSB) is a municipally based program that supports children, adolescents, and families through prevention, early intervention, and community-based services. Youth Service Bureaus across Connecticut are designed to:

  • Prevent youth from entering the juvenile justice system
  • Strengthen families and promote healthy development
  • Identify needs early and connect families to appropriate supports
  • Coordinate services across schools, town departments, and community providers
Fairfield Youth Services serves as a hub—helping schools, families, and community partners navigate resources, identify gaps, and respond collaboratively to youth needs.
