Yes, you can join the waitlist online. If a spot opens up, the Recreation Department will contact you via a phone call or email.
-Login to your account
-Using the Keyword or Activity Number search bars, search the desired program you would like to be added to the waitlist for
-First, check the box to the left under "add to cart". Second, proceed to the bottom of the page and click "add to cart".
-Select the appropriate family member in your account who you would like to add to the waitlist by clicking the box next to their name
-Answer any prompted questions and select "I agree"
Note: At the top of the screen, it will list the number of waitlist position

While many programs are designed for Fairfield residents, non-residents may be able to participate if space is available one week before the program starts. Registration for non-residents is handled in person, by mail, or fax, and an additional $25 fee is added to the program cost.
You can request a refund in writing to FCSrefund@fairfieldct.org up to 5 business days before a program begins. A 10% processing fee will apply. Within 5 days of the start date, refunds are subject to a 10% administrative fee and a 25% late refund fee. Refunds are generally not given once a program starts, unless a medical emergency occurs (doctor's note required).

If the Community Services cancels a program due to low enrollment, a full refund is issued. If classes are canceled due to weather, a makeup class will be scheduled. Nothing is worse than waiting until the last minute to register and classes are canceled due to low enrollment so register EARLY!
Yes, the Adaptive Recreation program offers programs like the T.G.I.S. Saturday Drop-In and After School Chill, specifically designed for children and teens with physical, cognitive, developmental, or sensory processing disabilities. These programs provide social opportunities within a supportive and inclusive environment. Reach out to Gianna at Gsalce@fairfieldct.org for more information.
The Bigelow Center provides a wide range of activities for adults aged 50 and older, including fitness classes, educational programs, games, social services, and special events. They even host a movie screening every Friday!
No! Playground camp is designed for students going INTO first grade through sixth grade. Children that have NOT completed kindergarten by the start date of Summer Camp, must attend the Camp Champs Program.

No! All of our camp locations participate in the same activities; field trips, onsite activities, pizza/water days, etc. so you can sign your children up for preferred site. *Limited spaces per each site may apply*
Our best advice is to preemptively add the selections for each child into your Wishlist to save you one less step on the day of registration, as we cannot guarantee a spot for each of your children.

-Step 5: Hooray! You have added the item/items to your Wishlist.
You can double check that the item was successfully added to the Wishlist by returning back to the top of the screen under "My Account" and selecting "Wishlist"
